What About Bob?

I expected some pushback to the article I wrote on Sunday, where I mentioned my opinions concerning the leftist attack on Brett Kavanaugh, and how disgusted I was with the whole thing.

Interestingly, my in box was considerably quieter than I expected, with just a handful of people suggesting I support rapists, and hate women, etc. Obviously I support nothing of the sort, I was simply pointing out that this had nothing to do with Ford, this was an all out attempt to stop Kavanaugh from getting to the bench.

Good morning everyone, and let me start the day with a prayer for all those folks from Louisiana to Tampa bay FL that are going to be affected by Hurricane Michael. According to the hurricane center, this is a cat 4 now.

If this really is a cat 4, instead of some manipulated numbers to push the global warming theme, then there's no safe way to stay put. 140 mph at the ground level, will take down homes, trees, roofs, flip trucks, etc.  I'm really hoping that it's not that strong and that they're saying it's that strong because of the mantra recently,  that because of man made warming storms are getting worse.

Good morning all, welcome to a new week.

First off a quick note, if you took advantage of the two for one deal, don't be alarmed if your account shows that your subscription might show you expire in just one  a year. The "system" isn't set up for 2 year members, and we have to go in and manually "bump" everyone out for the extra year. We'll probably have everyone bumped by Wed/Thursday.

Hello all, the new newsletter is posted on the site. In this one, we chat about some of the effects on the human body that the roll out of 5G might have. Yes that's controversial, but it makes an interesting read. Why are so many people depressed? Why are so many people doing irrational things? Could it be that all the millions of cell phone signals flying through our brains 24 hours a day has overwhelmed our natural defenses? I believe so and that's only 4G.

In the market section, we ponder the market's next move. The chop lately has been horrific as even today the DOW was down over 300 points at one moment, and ended the day down just 135. Could we be entering a period of sideways  chop, bouncing between the highs and the 50 day moving averages again? It's possible. Give it a read, it's good stuff.

Hi all, welcome to another day in whacky world.

Yesterday got pretty interesting. All day long the market was soggy, and then around 3 pm  things really rolled down hill. The DOW was down 495 points, the S&P down 50. It was really interesting to watch. So, they had to pull a rabbit out of the hat and they did that by dragging Navaro on screen to tell everyone that things are fine, we're not heading to a trade war, etc.

Good morning all, and yes, somehow it got to be a Friday again. Whew! that was quick.

Yesterday we were talking about the DOW and how it needed to break out of its sideways cone, if it was going to go on to make the move to challenge the all time highs. Well it was on it's way to trying that, at one point up over 240 points. But it started leaking air as the day wore on, we coasted into a mixed close. The S&P fell by 2, the NASDAQ by 15 and the DOW pulled off a 115 point gain.

Again?

It’s Monday morning. I’m sitting here looking at the spaghetti string models of Hurricane Irma. I have to tell you, I’m not warm and fuzzy with what I see. Yes it’s a week away. However, on this particular day, 4 of the “better” models have Irma hitting Southern Florida and coming right up the center of the state.  Only one has it putting in a really hard right turn late in the week and sending it up into the Carolina/Virginia area.

In a most remarkable happenstance, both the DOW and the S&P dipped below their 50 day moving averages yesterday and "just like dat" they both bounced up and over said levels. It must be magic, no?

Another Friday. But not just any Friday, this is the Friday ahead of what many are turning into the 4th of July Friday. Many many Wall Streeters have already fled the city and don't plan to return until Wednesday. With the Holiday on Tuesday, and the market only open half a day Monday, they bailed out and started their long weekend.

Friday.  How on earth can it be Friday already? I don't know, but it most certainly is.

So yesterday was "that day".  What day is that, you ask?  How many times have I moaned about the fact that you can't really go short this market, because it feels that at "any time" they'll put on one of those mindless 200 point romps?  I'd say I've mentioned that so many times you're tired of hearing it.
