Good morning all, welcome back from your weekend. As always, we hope it was a good one for you.

To all my friends along the Jersey shore, I hope you're done mopping up after that nasty Nor' Easter stopped by. The coastal flooding was pretty brutal.  Down here in FL, we finally got our first shot of fall. Sure it's almost November, but we've been uncharacteristically hot for months. But Sunday morning, while wandering out to get coffee, I noticed my weather station said "62"

The Storm

Hello everyone, I've made it through the storm.  I'm sorry about not putting out a letter on Sunday or Wednesday, but as you all know, Hurricane Irma made a visit to our part of Florida and well, things just took a bit of time to get 'normal".

Hello everyone, welcome to a new day. This one dawns bright down here in Florida, which is quite different than yesterday. We had torrential rains yesterday, and many areas of Sarasota experienced flash flooding. Major roadways became rivers and it was truly a mess. But this morning the sun is out, the sky is blue and all is well with the world.

Hello everyone, welcome to a new week. I certainly hope you all had a great weekend.  I almost feel guilty being up in NJ this week enjoying bright blue sky, while my wife is in FL putting up with day after day of horrible rains. (almost)  In Tampa, the rain has been so relentless that flooding is an almost daily occurrence. Before I had left to come north our local weather guy mentioned that the average rain fall for the whole year was about 26 inches and parts of Tampa had already gotten 46 inches. Where's Noah and that boat?
