Good morning everyone, I hope the morning finds you well.

Yesterday we had a "red" day. Late in the afternoon, they did their best to get us off the worst levels and when it was all over, we had the DOW off about 55, the S&P off about 5. In a market this tall, that's not even a rounding error. Some were blaming the fall on the increased rhetoric between NK and the US, but I don't really buy that. In the beginning acts of the war of words, the market would indeed get shook up over the strong language, but after seeing "nothing" happen time and time again, they've learned to ignore it all.

Hello all, and welcome to Monday. I hope your weekend was wonderful, and you really got a chance to enjoy it with family and friends. Ours was pretty subdued as my bride is fighting a cold that won't let go, and rest is always the best strategy.

Good morning all. I guess today we'll see if I read the whole Thursday/Friday sell down wrong and it was just another in a long long string of "one day wonders" that just happened to stretch into two days.

Good morning all, welcome to a new day.   Not only a new day, but a new month. Can any of you really belive it's August already? My my how time is flying.

Yesterday got odd in a handful of ways. We took a butt kicking here on the Coast after an "every day " low pressure system, flipped into a tropical storm and attacked us.  Trees are down, local streets flooded, etc. Sheesh!  In market land, After a quick bolt out of the gate, we faded back on the S&P and NASDAQ both closing red. The DOW however continued to power up, gaining another 60 points.

Good morning everyone, we've made it to another one of those Friday things that seem to get here faster each year.

Except for the flow of earnings releases, the overnight session was pretty quiet. MSFT was the "big one" and they did pretty well. Interestingly, after their release they were up strongly, then faded to go red. This morning they've inched back to green.

Hi everyone.

Boy am I late this am. The wife is out of town, and I guess subconsciously I must use her morning activity as an alarm clock, because I slept over an hour past normal. If it weren't for the lawn crew making noise, I might still be asleep. Wow.

Hello all, welcome to a new day....

Yesterday spent most of its time trying to decide what it wanted to do. Should the techs fall more, or should they bounce? Should the overall market begin a true correction or should it simply push higher?  By the time the last hour rolled around, it felt pretty clear that they were getting braver and willing to nibble on things. When the session was over, the DOW wasn't down 70+, it was down 36. The S&P which had been down 11 at times... was down 2.  The NASDAQ, which was looking pretty lousy all morning, bounced nicely.

Good morning, happy Wednesday to you....

They tried and tried but couldn't pull it off. They got us to 2400 yesterday and we spent the bulk of the session trying to get past it. We'd bump into it, fade, bump into it, fade....on and on

Good morning all, happy Thursday to you.

No need to hash out yesterday.  With the buzz about impeachment reaching fever pitch, it was the reason ( or the excuse)  for a high volume sell off.  The SPY traded 172 million shares, the highest volume day we've seen in many months. Most of it to the downside.

Good morning everyone, welcome back from your weekend. I won't bore you to tears telling you of mine, but I will say thank you to all who wrote in to wish me a happy birthday!  I'll simply say that my wife set up what could only be called a perfect weekend for me, and we really had a wonderful time. I sort of wish it didn't have to end. Oh well, there's always next year...I hope!
