Good morning all.  Looking at the futures at 7:30 am, it seems the world got grumpy again. But before we get into that, let's talk pot for a minute.

For any of the newer folks, a quick review. Late last summer, I had a hunch that the pot stocks were going to pay off, so we took positions in a few of them. Well, they worked very well, and we sold some half positions early this year.

Good morning everyone, welcome back from your weekend. I certainly hope it was a good one for you all.

On Saturday, my wife had a booth down in Port Charlotte as the "Veterans family fun day", which was a group of local businesses that got together to literally give Vets and their families a  free "fun" day. There was free hot dogs and burgers, Ice cream, candy for the kids, live music, a water slide, a bounce house, etc.

Good morning all, we've made it to Friday in what can only be called a crazy week.  Oh, and it's not over. Yet.

So you all know about the volatility, the huge up and down spikes and how many points this market has racked up bouncing around. Well it's happening again today.

Good morning friends, welcome to another day.

Yesterday I said "I just don't trust this market".  At the time, the DOW had erased a 319 point dive, and had gone green. But at the closing bell, it was back to being down almost 100.

Morning all, welcome to what I hope isn't as  crazy a day as yesterday.

If you live on planet earth, you've probably heard by now that the market gained an incredible 547 points yesterday. the S&P powered up with it, and gained 60, blasting through 2800 like a hot knife.

Hello everyone.

Did you see yesterday? The roller coaster effect was in full force, and it kept me on the sidelines.  There were times during the session, where you were almost lured into thinking they were going to bust a move and send us higher, only to see it all fade off and fall back.

Good morning all, welcome back from what I hope was a terrific weekend for you all. Ours was a good one for a change as the weather gave us a nice break. As we come into late October, the dawn of the "dry" season will start, and soon enough it won't rain for months.

In the General commentary section of today's free investment newsletter, we look at a stunning report that shows that the nation is sick and tired of PC, and the numbers are staggering. Interestingly the study wasn't done by a bunch of right wing conservatives, it was done via a liberal think tank.  Give that a read, maybe it will restore your faith in humanity.

In the market commentary, we discuss the sell off this week, and if Friday's bounce was the start of something like a new leg up, or a one day wonder. I give you reasons to question both outcomes.  Please take a few minutes to read it, it could help you with your investment decisions in the near future.

It’s Not Just You
Not a day goes by where I’m not reminded of how much of a dinosaur I am. In my recollection about how things work, a boy for instance is a boy, and a girl is a girl. But in today’s universities, I’m corrected in my thinking. Evidently a boy can be anything he says he is, and a girl can be a unicorn if she says so.

Good morning all, we've made it to Friday, and boy what a week it's been.

The DOW has now fallen for 1300+ points in two sessions. That puts it below its 50 and 200 day moving averages. The  S&P has fallen through both its 50 day and it's 200- day moving average, despite those two indicators being over 110 points apart.

This has been a wicked fast "correction" and no support levels or technical indicator lines have worked to stop the carnage.
