Hello all, welcome back from the weekend. As always I hope it was a good one for you all. My heart goes out to all our friends in Louisiana who have suffered through those horrendous rains. 20 inches in 24 hours is something very few people have ever had to deal with. Down here in Florida, we've been getting torrential rains every day, but at least they're only lasting 45 minutes or so.  It's bothersome, but not threatening. The folks in the New Orlean's area are in trouble.  Our prayers go out to them.

The End
I was supposed to do a long winded piece concerning which candidate would be better for the US economy. That’s going to have to wait, however... I had to laugh out loud the other day listening to Hillary talk about the economy. Most parts of her speech was plagiarized from Trumps speech on the economy back on Monday. All of a sudden she’s against TTP. All of a sudden she wants “fair” trade deals. All of a sudden she’s going to do all the infrastructure work Trump talked about.

My question is... having been in Government in one form or another for 40 years...why didn’t shy try any of that before? Now we’re supposed to believe she saw the light and “now” it’s time for her to lead the path to prosperity? Give me a break, please.

Hello everyone and good morning to you all....

Yesterday was historic in a way. For the first time since 1999 did we see the DOW the S&P and the NASDAQ hit all time highs on the same day. In a way that's sort of ominous. Why? Because after all the joy and happiness of the insane run up, the market crashed with the NASDAQ losing 60% of those gains.  Over 200 companies that had share prices over 100 dollars...were trading at a dollar.

Good morning all, are we ready for another day?

Yesterday they pulled off the late day "Ramp Capital" as they do so often. There was a particular level they needed to take the market to and just like magic, it happened. So, am I surprised that this morning the futures are green? Not even a little bit.

So, where do we go today? Good question. If their "pattern" continues, they'll probably try and inch us back up to the 2182 level. However, if we can't get through that... we'll probably be right back to testing 2175 again.

Almost Impossible
No one wants to read ( or write) about the election every few days, however there’s no question that the person that inherits the White House will have a profound effect on our economy. Likewise it’s almost impossible to not hear something about Trump or Hillary on every news cast. So we need to look at things from the view of “Who’s going to make the economy better or worse?”

Good morning all, welcome to another day. Let's hope it's not as boring as yesterday!  Sheesh!  Yesterday the volume on the SPY was just 12 million at 1 pm. They finally picked up the pace late in the session ( that's when the Central banks do their buying and most company orders for buy backs take place) but it still ended the day at just 51 million.  That might be the second lowest of the year

See?  I was mentioning the other day that most of the gains in this market come in the gap ups.  Yesterday the market put in an incredibly low volume, flatline hugging session. But sure enough this morning the futures are inching their way higher. At 6 am they were slightly red. At 7 they went green. Then at 8 the S&P moved up to +3.

Good morning all, welcome to a new week. As always I hope your weekend went well. Ours didn't go as we wanted, as the weather down here lately has been miserable to say the least. Not a day goes by where we're not hit with multiple thunder boomers and drenching rains. So instead of our much looked forward to bike and beach day, I got the bright idea that I'd build a new Island cabinet for the kitchen. ( yeah I've always been a hands on sort, having decent woodworking skills)  However, while stacking materials, the 3/4 inch plywood sheet I was going to cut for the sub base decided to fall over, and sure enough as it fell it hit me square in the ankle. A nasty gash and some nasty words emerged. Oh well, no one ever said it was bright wearing flip flops in the shop.   I'll survive ( and I'll build my island!)

Cramer Sees the Light?
200 Billion A Month

That’s the amount of QE being done by Central banks around the world. Chew on that for a minute, because I’m going to take you on a little tour in a minute. So, every 5 months, 1 Trillion dollars comes sloshing into the worlds markets. Some of it is used to buy things like Treasury bonds, Sovereign bonds, and even short term notes. But a lot of it is used for something much more “interesting.

Hello everyone, we've made it to Friday. However it's Jobs Friday and we have to get past that.

Yesterday was a low volume, boring session that basically just existed to keep the market flat ahead of today's jobs. However, like many days lately...as the big averages didn't do much, there was movement inside the averages.
