Good morning all, welcome to Thursday

It took me a little while to recognize the color of the futures indicator this morning. I hadn't seen anything but green in so long that this strange magenta color wasn't registering. But indeed after closer inspection, I realized that the futures were actually red.

Go figure.

Mornin all....

We've had two big up days in a row and this morning the futures are once again green. Granted they're not up triple digits, but green is green. We have the DOW up 3, the S&P up about 3.

This has been a powerful move, despite the fact that volume has been punk.

Good morning all.....

Well it's not only Friday, but it's a special Friday for me. Yes, today some 59 years ago I took my first cry after being slapped on the butt. While the fact is I look at Birthday's as "just another day", the wife went ahead and made my favorite triple layer Chocolate cake, so YES!  It IS important! How can you not have a smile when you know that later today you're going to overindulge in birthday cake?

Morning all, welcome to the day....

Last night we got confirmation that every single thing I ranted about in the newsletter was spot on. Everyone and his brother was convinced that the Bank of Japan was going to increase their QE program and thus knock down the yen, and boost stock prices. So they got positioned for that.

In the overnight session, the futures were really quite weak, as the S&P was down about 8 points and looking lower. Then as if by magic they started to rise and by morning they had peeked into the green. Why? Well evidently Goldman Sachs thinks that the Bank of japan will come out at the end of the month and announce it is buying up 7 trillion yen worth of stocks, via ETF's.  How completely perverted are the global stock markets when Central banks are actually putting in a backstop??  Very. Welcome to the matrix!

Good morning everyone, welcome to Friday.

Today is a special day for me.  33 years ago today my better half said "I do" in front of 125 friends and family.  So yes it is indeed our "anniversary".

I got the better end of that deal by far, and I'm honored to have such a gift given to me.  I have no problem saying that I look forward to the next 33 years.

Hello everyone, welcome to another Wednesday....

Yesterday was one of the more interesting roller coasters. The market was literally all over the map, from down 200 to almost green, to you name it.  But it was the action in the last hours that should pique your curiosity.

Morning all....

I crawled out of the sack at 5:30. By the time I grabbed some coffee and flipped on a monitor, it was maybe 6:00.  The futures were red with the DOW off about 95. Hmm, what's that about?  As the morning progressed the futures got worse. By 7:15, we had the DOW off 150 and the S&P off 18

Hello all, welcome to Wednesday.

Yesterday was another continuation of the melt up that's been raging for a month. This morning the futures are....green again. Go figure. We have the DOW up 50, the S&P up 4.

Good morning all, welcome to Thursday morning.

The big anticipation last night was that everyone's eyes were on China. After being closed for 7 days for Holiday, the wonder was...would they open big and join the global rally party, or would they be the Debbie Downers and be weak. Well what really happened was sort of "meh".  They were down, they were up.... they didn't do much of anything. But because they didn't outright crash, everyone was figuring that they'd see big fat green futures this morning. Well....that didn't happen either. Although they are well off the morning lows, at 8 am we have the DOW futures off 56 and the S&P down 6.  That's a big improvement over 6am when I saw DOW - 78 and S&P down 9.
