Morning all, we've made it into Friday.  Each week that fly's by makes me shake my head at the speed of it all.

So yesterday we put in a long drawn out session that ended not terribly far from the flat line. Today the futures are green and getting greener. What's up with that? I think this Wall Street Journal headline says it all....

Global stocks up amid stimulus hopes

Morning all, welcome to another day....

Like many I decided to watch the debates last night...and for once they had some really bright spots.  I have a lot of distain for CNBC and their left leaning John Harwood, and I wasn't terribly comfortable with CNBC interviewing "conservatives".  Sure enough they were asking ridiculous questions to attack their character and FINALLY The candidates pushed back, mocking CNBC for playing for the Democrats.

Good morning everyone, welcome to Wednesday already. My my does the time fly by....

Yesterday was just abject funny in a very perverted way. I had said that they'd defend 2060 on the S&P and they certainly did. And, they did it in the face of an avalanche of lousy news. The durable goods numbers were horrid. Oil plunged. Goldman lowered it's 3rd Quarter GDP forecast from 1.2% to just 1%. IBM announced another 4 billion for stock buybacks, while at the same time announcing they're being investigated by the SEC for the way they account for some of their revenues.

Hello everyone, welcome to a new day. Lets see if we can figure it out....

Yesterday finally followed the plot. We felt that a pause day was in order to at minimum "digest" the gains they'd racked up over the past two weeks. So when the final bell rang, we had just that, a low volume "go nowhere" day.

That’s It?

The market is doing exactly what markets are supposed to do…make people panic, then wish they didn’t panic and get back in…and then take their money again.  Right now as I’m typing this the market has put on a tremendous show, with the S&P gaining almost 200 points in rapid fashion. We came through September with no meteors, asteroids, Shemitah explosions, aliens, nuclear war, etc… AND the market is roaring higher.

Good morning everyone, welcome back from your weekend. As always I hope it was a really good one for you all. As much as I didn't want to, we had to forgo our bike ride to the beach this weekend and do....yard work.  Ouch. But it was indeed necessary. Things can get out of hand down here quickly between the recent rains and the "always" sun...so we were looking a bit more like jungle than household.  Well we tackled it and I'm glad to say that in just one day we pulled off a pretty good transformation.

As if yesterday wasn't "in your face" enough, as we gained 300+ points; after the bell the big 'old techs" MSFT, AMZN and GOOG all beat the estimates. That pushed the averages even higher after hours. But we're not talking just " little higher", I saw AMZN up 60+ dollars per share shortly after their release.

Good morning everyone, welcome to Thursday and tons of good fun.

Yesterday I had a hunch they might fade us a bit into the close and that's exactly what they did. I think the global news is so ugly that they tend to lighten up ahead of the close so that they don't find themselves crushed by some bad news out of China or Germany. Then if things look better by morning they start by buying futures and "get back in".

Hello everyone, it's Hump day already, so lets see if we can get up and over it....

Yesterday was a long boring "hover" around the flat line. After some fireworks early in the day, where the DOW had  the audacity to drop about 70 points, they quickly put an end to that nonsense and brought us right back up to the flat line. It didn't matter who missed earnings or what lousy reports we might have gotten, they had a plan and they executed it.

Good morning everyone, welcome to Tuesday...

Did you see it? It was almost comical.

All afternoon yesterday we were slightly red. When we dipped into the red around 1 pm we stayed there until..... 3.55 and just like magic, up we went, and posted a 17 point gain on the DOW and a fraction of a point in the S&P. Do you think that was millions of individual investors, doing the "random walk" and buying stocks all at the same time? I truly hope not because if so you've been terribly deluded. No, that was our friendly central planners making sure that things continue to make Joey Sixpack feel good.
