Hello folks, welcome to Monday.

As always, I hope that your weekend was a pleasant one for you all. Down here, the big news that finally made headlines across the nation is our plague of red tide. This is the worst year since about 2006 for it, and it's been a huge problem. Siesta Key, which often is labeled the "best beach in the United States" was a ghost town last week, as the water is an ugly brown color, dead fish by the tens of thousands line the beach, and the stench has people retreating inland.

Good morning all, welcome back from your Holiday weekend. I truly hope that what ever Memorial day means to you and your family, you all shared in remembrance of our fallen AND our still fighting warriors.

Good morning all, welcome back from your weekend. As I always do I hope that yours was wonderful. We had a lot going on this weekend, and for the first time in many months, we didn't get in any bike rides or long walks. Booo. We really enjoy our times outdoors, but it just wasn't to be this weekend.

Gooood morning all, welcome to a new day and week.

As usual, I'll take a couple seconds to chat about our weekend, not that anyone would care really. I only do it as "suggestions" for any others that might be traveling or visiting down our way. Our general mode of operation is that Saturday we do a bit of running around, top off the groceries, etc. etc. Then Sunday after Church we generally bike the paved Venetian trail, which ends at Capserson beach.  And then we stroll the beach for a couple miles, play in the water, get some sun and then walk and ride our way back. But we've done if for so long, we decided it's time to try a month of doing something different. Two weekends ago we walked the 4 mile round trip on The Tampa/St.Pete skyway pier. Last weekend we put in about 4 miles in the Robinson nature preserve.

Good morning all, welcome to the new week.

Our weekend didn't go as we'd hoped. After a tremendous Friday evening where the wife and I attended the opening of a hit play from England, Saturday was simply oppressively hot. You know it's hot when the candles in your garage are liquid.  But Sunday was even worse. The leading storms of the Tropical Depression were coming across our coast, bringing torrential rain and lightening on and off all day. Needless to say, our Sunday bike and beach adventure was not to be.

Morning all, welcome back from your weekend. As always I hope it was a good one for you all. Ours was about as good as it gets. On Saturday, I started to move some of my tomato seedlings from in the garage, to out into their pots, where they'll call home for the next several months. ( for those that don't know, I get a kick out of raising organic Heirloom tomatoes of several variety)  But it was Sunday that took the charm. If you ever wanted the perfect day in Florida, Sunday was it. Deep blue sky, not even a puffy cloud from horizon to horizon.  The temps were only in the low 80s and there was very little humidity, which is rare for us.  So yes indeed we did our bike trip to the beach and spent 2 glorious hours on the sand; sunning, hunting shark teeth and splashing in the surf.  I sort of wish every day was Sunday.

Good morning all, welcome back from your weekend. I hope it was a good one for you all. Down here in Florida the weather God's smiled widely, as we had two spectacular days of bright sun, blue sky's and 78 degree temps.  It was truly glorious and we took advantage of it. We got our "chores" done Saturday, leaving Sunday wide open for our bike ride and beach walk.  I hope you also got a chance to enjoy the great outdoors.

Good morning everyone, welcome back from your weekend. As always we hope it was a great one for you!  My prayers continue to go out to all of you in the South Carolina area, as I know the pain you're going through with all that flooding. Ouch.  Down here in "not so sunny" Florida, we continue to battle a weather pattern that has dropped more rain on us than anyone can imagine. As a matter of fact, the wife and I dared to take our bike ride to the beach yesterday. Sure enough of the way back we ran into a massive squall of driving rain and small hail. Well, there's nowhere to hide on that particular trail, so we had no choice but to just ride through it.  I couldn't have been wetter had I simply jumped in the river.
