So it's Friday.  We're up over 500 points in a very short time, with 90% of the gains coming from the hopium that a trade deal gets done.

Holiday Thoughts

How was your Christmas? I truly pray it was a wonderful time for you and your friends and family. Ours was quite terrific, thank you.

I know, I know, I’m supposed to talk about the markets and all the madness going on there. Well the fact is, we have another full year of market madness coming at us, and there will be ample time to dissect all of that.

I had a nice chat with one of my paid subscription members today. He too looks after a 90+ year old mom, and he told me that because I often mention about the struggles of doing that with my Mom, he feels like he knows me as a friend. It’s the highest compliment I can get actually.

Good Friday morning to you all. Yes, another Friday. They come quick, don't they?

The DOW couldn't pull it off, but the S&P and especially the techs, put in a big fat green day yesterday.  AAPL hit a one trillion dollar market cap, and there were rainbows and unicorns abundant.

We pulled the trigger on the QQQ's at 177.68, endured a little wiggle, and then watched it run to  179.53 for the close.

How Many Rabbits?

I’ve been in this game for quite a while. I started in 1994 doing seminars for local investment clubs. That migrated into the first newsletter in 1996, and in 1997 we launched the web site.

All along the way, there were ills and evils that I pointed out, about how the economy is fake, the economic reports were fudged, the debts were unpayable, and on and on. And yet, through the magic of Central banking, they’ve managed to keep the wheels on this thing. It truly is incredible if you think about it.

Predictions

A prediction (Latin præ-, "before," and dicere, "to say"), or forecast, is a statement about an uncertain event. It is often, but not always, based upon experience or knowledge. There is no universal agreement about the exact difference between the two terms; different authors and disciplines ascribe different connotations.

Good morning everyone, welcome back from your weekend. As I always do, I hope it was a good one for you all.  I won't bore you to tears with mine, since the weather sort of washed us out, and I have nothing fun to report.

Good morning all.....

By now most of you are probably aware of what happened in Dallas last night. During a Black lives Matter protest rally, an ambush was set up by several people with long rifles, and 11 police were shot,  and 5 have died. It was just a matter of time. You could almost tell something that sinister was coming.

Good morning all, welcome to a new week and what a week it will probably be.

NOTE:>>> First just a quick note about this am. The usual 10:40 update is going to be delayed. I have an important meeting to attend, and it can't be moved to a different time. I figure I'll probably be back by about 11:30.  Sorry about that but this is a very important meeting, one I will not miss.

NOTE>>!!!

Next Saturday, November 15th, I’ll be traveling to Scottsdale Arizona for the “Financial Fest” being held at the Westin Kierland Resort. So for any of you who live in the area, please come on by and say hello. The event is free, it runs from 8 am to 4 pm, and we’ll be doing a couple live talks. It’s going to be a fun day and I look forward to meeting you!

All The Tricks

One of the interesting things about putting out a newsletter for almost 20 years is that we've covered so many topics that you really can't even remember half of them. Think about the sheer numbers for a minute.
