Happy Day before Thanksgiving!

So, the futures are green this morning, and we should put in a mild up day. Because of the Holiday, there's a good chance that what ever is going to happen, will happen by noon, and then everyone's going to make it for the exits.

Hello everyone, we've made it to Wednesday, in a very peculiar week.

Yesterday the DOW heaved up 180 points, the S&P fell almost 30. Why? Overhead resistance and a lot of negative noise coming out of the Iran situation, and nothing solid out of the trade situation with China.

Morning all, it seems like the madness will continue another day.  One might have thought that 1400 points in a week was "enough" but evidently not. I woke up this am, to + 140 DOW futures. Again.

Welcome to another day of the big show. Yesterday the market started off in rough shape, quickly falling out of bed. But since "down" is frowned upon by the powers that be, they rushed in to rescue things again

Morning folks, ready to watch the global economy self destruct? Good, then stay tuned because you're living in it as we speak.

Last night Taiwan and Norway cut their interest rates. Taiwan did it because their exports have basically crashed as the world is no longer buying like they did when they "had money". Norway, which is dependent on oil revenues, did it because when you price your projections on 100 dollar oil and instead you get 40 dollar oil, something's "gotta give".

Just a heads up that our latest free investing newsletter is posted for all to read. This issue is concerning social media and the "bubble" that it has morphed into. While we all enjoy the FaceBooks and Twitter's for the service they can provide us, we see a lot of examples of where people have gone way over the top with their obsession with it.

Good morning all... Sorry I'm late, but..well you all know the situation. In fact, tomorrow I will only be able to do a morning update ahead of the open, as I'll be heading to the airport shortly after. But things will return to normal for me by the weekend and I can get a bit more focused.

The market put in a soggy session yesterday, not able to draw the firepower it needed to really make a big follow on up day. Yet when you look at the big picture, you see that the NASDAQ is almost being "drawn" to that all time high level around 5000 almost like they want it so badly it has to happen.

I mentioned to you all yesterday that the "over the top" hype about the NY "Blizzard of the Century" was simply too much to bear. The wife and I were in a hotel Sunday morning and we flipped on the Weather Channel for a while. I couldn't believe the panic they were trying to generate. One of their "weather experts" had actually said a few times that you should run out and buy a generator, buy a snowblower, you're going to need them.

Like folks have 4 or 5 grand laying around to run out and buy a generator and snow-blower for a stupid one time storm.

So, the big event came and what happened? Nothing. The Biggest storm of the Century was the biggest weather forecast bust in history. NY got about 5 - 6 inches. NJ, where folks were shutting down in anticipation of the "worst", got 2 - 3.

There are a few areas way out on long Island that did get up to about 15 inches, and yes Boston into New Hampshire is still getting snow, but...lets face it, the level of panic they inflicted on people was simply ridiculous.

Don't you find it funny that they can tell us that man made global warming is going to wipe us out in 40 years, but they can't forecast a storm 24 hours ahead properly? Go figure eh?

Today  the DOW surpassed 18,000 for the first time ever. That's pretty heady stuff considering we were almost in danger of losing DOW 17K just a week ago. They were so excited by it, that Art Cashin actually wore a DOW 18K hat on CNBC. How sad.
