Good morning all, welcome back from your weekend. I hope it was a great one for you all. My Saturday was filled with "running around" as the wife is gathering things to take with her on her trip to spend a week with her father in NJ. With her mom already having passed, she really enjoys her yearly visit with her dad. So, we were getting her geared up for that. (NOTE>> She flies out Tuesday, but it shouldn't interrupt my usual posting times)

Hello all, welcome to another day.

The "bounce" was in full throttle "go" yesterday as they walked the market higher virtually all day. Did I think that they'd continue the move higher on Monday? absolutely, that's why I held MSFT and IWM over the weekend. Did I think we'd put on 320 DOW points and 24 S&P's? Nope. I didn't see that coming at all. My guess would have been for 150 - 200 at most.

Hello all, it's Thursday already.

So, as you probably know, they poured it on yesterday and took the up elevator. Now we get to see if they pause and catch their breath, or if they just power ahead.

Good morning all, welcome to a new day.

I want to say thank you to all of you that wrote in to wish my wife a speedy recovery from her flu. She's getting better, but boy...it was a nasty one. I haven't seen her that sick in a long long time.

So again, thank you.

Love fest!

Morning all. It seems my suspicions ended up being right. Yesterday, my guess was that they were just going to keep the market flat and await the earnings reports that were to really start flooding us Monday night. In fact, so blatant was the push to keep the market flat, that just 45 minutes from the closing bell, the DOW was down 130 points, the S&P down 10.

Good morning everyone, and welcome back from your weekend. I certainly hope it was a good one for you all.

Down here in Sunny Florida, ours didn't turn out quite so well this time around. On Friday afternoon, I could tell that my significant other wasn't feeling well. She was getting bouts of chills, and beginning to cough. Sure enough by Saturday morning she was full blown "sickly" with the sniffles, the cough, the chills, the whole ball of wax. Bummer.  So, like a good hubby, I made sure she stayed on bed, and I did all the stupid running around.

Friday the 13th. Hmmm, I wonder if it will be significant.

Hi all, we've made it to Friday.  But not only is this the 13th, it's also the day the banks tell us about their earnings.  Will they be great, mediocre, or bad?  We'll know in a bit.

Well, what to think? That's two days in a row where the market started out pretty well, and they sold into it. Granted it wasn't as bad as the day before where we went from up 350 to up just 50, but we were up about 50 yesterday and closed down 107.

That's two.

Good morning all, welcome to a new day.

So, what was yesterday? Who knows. Maybe the Mueller investigation rattled them. Maybe Tony Podesta stepping down from his own lobbying firm got them thinking this is wider and deeper than they expected. Or maybe it was just a pause day, because Friday was insane?  I'm sure we'll find out.  In any event, we lost 85 DOW points and 8 S&P's, as the market simply didn't have any traction at all.

Good morning everyone, welcome to a new day.

You all know what happened yesterday. Because of a few big name DOW stocks "supposedly" doing will with earnings, we had a 167 point DOW rally. It didn't quite spread too much into the S&P which only managed 4 points, or the NASDAQ which was lucky to get 11 since it was actually red a couple times during the morning shift.
