Hey, before we get into today’s letter, I want to see if any of you “northerners” would be interested in something. One of the things I forgot I had stored away at my Father in Law’s up in NJ, was my Canada Goose, down coat.
 
If you remember the story, I wanted “the best” coat on earth for warding off those rare days when it would drop to 0, and the wind was howling. So, I literally emailed the McMurdo research station in Antarctica, and asked what they wore. They actually replied and said all their folks wear Canada Goose Expedition Parka’s.

What’s a Portfolio?
 
The dictionary defines a portfolio two ways:
noun
1.a large, thin, flat case for loose sheets of paper such as drawings or maps.
2. a range of investments held by a person or organization.
 
As you might imagine, when we’re talking about portfolio, we’re generally speaking about “investments.” But let me ask you this, what is an investment?

Happy Thanksgiving All
 
There’s no market commentary today, just some random thoughts, a PSA to Everyone, and some well wishes.
 
Yes it’s Thanksgiving. It’s my favorite Holiday of the year. Why? The easy answer is that I get to smell a cornucopia of food cooking all day, I get to ignore Wall Street for a day, I get to hang around with people I love.

Hi all, welcome to Thanksgiving "eve".  Yes today is Wednesday and yes tomorrow is that special day where we're all asked to just hang out with family and friends and say some thanks. I'm looking forward to it. And yes the food makes the day complete. Just the smells that waft out of the kitchen is enough to set the stage for a great day.

As we look across the economic landscape and we joust back and forth about whether Mr. Trump can enact enough programs to keep the US of A from foundering, sometimes I think we need to step back a bit and look at the big picture. There have been and there is to come, structural changes that I’m not sure can be reversed.  For instance technology.
