Good morning all, I hope it's a good one for you.  I want to start off the morning by sending a prayer to my friend Phil Mikan, who's wonderful wife had to undergo surgery for cancer yesterday. I pray for a complete and total recovery.

Good morning everyone, welcome back from what I hope was a great weekend for you all. Down here in sunny Florida, we had our yearly "sand sculpture" contest on Siesta beach.  This is an international competition, and sculptors from around the world come to Sarasota to create the most incredible sand sculptures you've ever seen. Starting on about Thursday the artists get their particular space, and begin mounding up the sand and preparing. Then by Friday they're completely absorbed in sculpting. The end results are shown on Saturday and Sunday with a winner finally declared.

Yesterday the session was pretty quiet. They weren't about to let things fall, but there was no push to buy things  either. Then of course the big news was that right around the close of business, that terror event took place in NYC, where some nutjob rented a Home Depot truck and decided to mow down a bunch of bike riders that were doing nothing more than enjoying the bike path and the nice day.

Well Now!

Last night was like Earnings central for the "big guys" meaning Amazon, Alphabet ( google) Microsoft and Intel.  The bottom line is that all of them did really well on their earnings releases and the street has reacted in a big way.

Hello everyone, welcome to another day. ( and what a day it might become!)

So yesterday was pause day. After the giant surge Friday, they had to digest the gains and we were flat for the bulk of the session. Heading into the close with the DOW off 55 and the S&P down 10, I didn't for a minute think this was the start of some big roll over. While "any" day could start a major roll over crash, why would it start yesterday?

Hello everyone, welcome to a new day.

Well, the mysteries continue. No matter where you look, you have to scratch your head and go "huh?"  The Vegas shooting is now a mess of misinformation that's bigger than anything I've seen since 9/11.  The news about how the FBI knew all about Hillary setting up uranium deals with Russia, including bribery and State department collusion, yet hid it all under Obama. It never ends.  Why isn't the media ( other than the poor alternative sites that get blasted by slimy main stream media) talking about this?? Hannity did a 14 minute monologue about how the FBI discovered money routing from Russia to Bill Clinton and the Hillary foundation LONG before Obama announced and granted the nuclear deal with Russia.

Good morning all, welcome back from your weekend. As always I hope it was a really good one for you all. My wife had a fun day Saturday, as she wanted to get a new dress for the wedding she's going to in NJ. Her niece is getting married in November and she spent the day finding just the right dress and accessories.

Good morning everyone, I hope the morning finds you well.

Yesterday we had a "red" day. Late in the afternoon, they did their best to get us off the worst levels and when it was all over, we had the DOW off about 55, the S&P off about 5. In a market this tall, that's not even a rounding error. Some were blaming the fall on the increased rhetoric between NK and the US, but I don't really buy that. In the beginning acts of the war of words, the market would indeed get shook up over the strong language, but after seeing "nothing" happen time and time again, they've learned to ignore it all.

Hello all, and welcome to Monday. I hope your weekend was wonderful, and you really got a chance to enjoy it with family and friends. Ours was pretty subdued as my bride is fighting a cold that won't let go, and rest is always the best strategy.
