Morning everyone, welcome to Friday.

Yesterday they got us well off the lows of the day and for a brief period we were actually green for a few minutes. But it couldn't hold, and we drifted into the close with the DOW off about 40 points.  That makes 4 session in a row where the DOW and the S&P ended red on the day. That's certainly not out of the realm of ordinary, but each day that goes by, now increases the odds of a quick snap back.

Morning all...

NOTE>  As I had mentioned lately, my schedule for a few days might get a little lumpy because of my mother in law's issues concerning her health. I'm saddened to have to announce that the dear lady did indeed pass last evening after a battle with late stage dementia following a series of strokes. While it is a blessing that she went fairly quickly, it's never "easy" on the family.  I will do my best to try and keep something of a normal schedule, but please bear with me if you see me miss an update or two over the next several days.

Thank you.

Okay so the Greeks presented their resolution list to the Europeans and while not as complete as the ECB would like, they're accepting it as a good "starting point".  While the chances for all this to work is pretty slim, everyone's looking at it as a plus. Time will tell how that all goes. The markets have given it their blessings.

Good morning all, welcome to Wednesday.

Yesterday the market was really flat, which in a way is a big victory for the bulls...especially considering that we were indeed closer to the Greeks leaving the Euro-zone than any time  before. What I found almost funny was the late moment "push" where we saw them take the market from down a point, to up 28 in the last 4 minutes of trading.  A clearer sign of desperation, I can't remember.

Morning all.....

First off, thanks for all the well wishes that flooded in this weekend. My Mother in law is in pretty rough shape right now, after what appears have been a series of strokes that have left her in trouble. My wife went up north to comfort and help as best as she can.

I decided not to go, since there's really not much I can do other than give moral support. But considering she's got her husband, son and now daughter there, I felt it best to "stay out of the way" for now.  However I do tend to think that if things get any worse, I'm probably going to have no choice but to go and help as I can.
