Well now. The one sector that had been pretty perky (energy) is taking a break today. The techs, which had been asleep are catching a bit of a bid, nothing major, but they're 'up".

Hello everyone, welcome to another day. ( and what a day it might become!)

So yesterday was pause day. After the giant surge Friday, they had to digest the gains and we were flat for the bulk of the session. Heading into the close with the DOW off 55 and the S&P down 10, I didn't for a minute think this was the start of some big roll over. While "any" day could start a major roll over crash, why would it start yesterday?

Good morning all, welcome to Thursday.

NOTE>> As I warned the other day, I'm going to be a bit distracted today, as we have a crew coming to my mom's house to replace her entire A/C system, including adding more ducting and returns. It's a pretty big job and I'll be there to keep an eye on things. Of course I'll be on line, and doing my thing, I'm just suggesting that I could be off on timing of my updates, etc.

Good morning folks, I hope the day dawns bright for you all.  We've made it to Friday, and not a day too soon!

So yesterday they allowed a pause day. I continue to call it just a pause, since at one point the DOW was off 128 points and they could have easily turned that into 200 points and really got a sell off brewing. But instead they came in and saved the day for the most part. So this morning the futures were flattish, with a "pink" tone as we approached the release of the non farm payroll reports

Don't they know the world is trying to celebrate some Holidays? Evidently not as once again the Greeks couldn't elect a majority president, tossing the country into what will be a "snap" election in January. Meanwhile a handful of their major banks are terribly on the rocks, and that has pulled most of the European markets lower.
