Morning all, we've made it into Friday.  Each week that fly's by makes me shake my head at the speed of it all.

So yesterday we put in a long drawn out session that ended not terribly far from the flat line. Today the futures are green and getting greener. What's up with that? I think this Wall Street Journal headline says it all....

Are You Scared?

When I talk to people that I consider to be “awake” they all tend to say the same things to me. Almost to a tee, they suggest that they feel something isn’t quite right, but they don’t know exactly what. They feel like things are out of control, but can’t say why. They feel there’s some form of impending doom, but can’t explain what it is, or why they even feel that way.  They just know things aren’t right, but for the life of them, they can’t elucidate just why they feel that way.

Today starts the Fed's two day meeting concerning monetary policy. We all know QE will be officially put to bed, and the market seems okay with that. But why? Everyone knows it was the QE that has allowed stocks to gain the incredible heights they've made. Why wouldn't they be in a panic about it ending?  Well one is that they know we don't need the Fed's buying bonds to keep rates low, banks are buying bonds so they have collateral to make derivative bets

Late last night the news hit that the Doctor in NY who showed Ebola symptoms had indeed tested positive for the disease. Naturally that's going to create a certain level of fear in the city. The only "good" thing you can say is that down in Dallas, it doesn't seem to have spread exponentially, so there's some comfort in thinking this guy probably hasn't infected the masses either.

Overnight the Chinese ministry put out a huge amount of fluff economic news and all of it was "better than expected"... (now there's something new)

But in any event it didn't levitate the morning futures as news like that usually does. So we expected a
