Can You Hear Me Now?
If you want to look really really stupid, just go ahead and make predictions about the future. Except for a handful of very rare people, the Cosmic universe seems to get a chuckle out of making fools out people who attempt to predict the future.
If you want proof of that, just consider what Mother nature does to your typical weatherman just about every week. These guys are pretty happy if they get a 55% correct ratio. That’s not much above 50/50. Coin flips tend to average that.

Too Much?
When you write two letters per week for over 22 years, you certainly have covered a lot of ground. Which often begs the question, is there anything to write about? Hasn’t it all been covered? Ha! I would like nothing more than to tell you all that the world is so boring that I have nothing to discuss. What a blessing that would be.

Good morning everyone, it's Friday already. I swear I don't understand how that can happen.  These weeks just roll by like a shot.

Anyway, I'm sure you all know the deal about yesterday. The market was a bit nervous over Powell and his talk to the Senate and he didn't disappoint them. Saying point blank that the US is on an unsustainable fiscal path, he laid out his views. But the market was "okay" with it. Yeah, we were down a bit, call it red by 70. But it looked as if the minute he was going to finish up, they were going to pile in.

Morning all, and wow, what a morning it's been...already.

When I first flipped on a monitor at about 5:45, the futures were big and bright. I saw + 60 on the DOW and about + 8 on the S&P.  After shuffling around the kitchen, grabbing some coffee and trying to wake up, I looked again and the futures were RED across the board. The DOW was DOWN 54 the S&P down 4.
